Internships

We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity for our community. Our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs of others for their sakes and for our own.” – Cesar Chevez

The Voices Internship is an eight-week, paid leadership development experience within a professional context that employs high-level leadership principles alongside culturally responsive community engagement. We provide training across various fields of expertise while interns begin to build their own Community engagement plans in one of The Voices Project’s leadership sectors. Current offerings include the church, the arts, and education.

Through The Voices Project, Interns have the unique opportunity to have internship placement within an organization led by people of color.  Interns will understand the scope of the work within the community, organizational leadership structure, and practices of the site while working to develop their own leadership voice. Includes 30 hours of training in leadership, innovation in context, and spiritual formation.
